8 screen prints on handblown glass panels, Edition 4,
60 x 90 cm

Louise Lang’s multipart glass work shows a very unusual way of dealing with the material glass and an exceptional finesse. The actual vessels are transformed by the screen print but they keep their three-dimensional appearance due to the relief like surface of the glass plates. Light and viewpoint lend the vessel shapes on the dark surface of the plates a mysterious, poetic and fragile character.

Glass objects,
38 Shapes,
8 -16 cm x ø 7 - 13 cm

All of the 38 different shapes are made in Japan 2014. They are all blown and shape by myself, between 8 to 16 cm high and 7 to 13 cm wide. Some of them are completely closed and others reminds to daily dishes. All of them are playing in proportion and space.
Eight shapes (nr. 8, 11, 14, 20, 28, 32, 37, 38) I select to print them onto handblown glass panels of Lamberts.

The "Eine Formenreihe" Booklet, which features a large format image of each object, provides an overview and summary.
